Care instruction

All our pieces of jewellery are made with noble materials and alloys that are resistant. However, they too suffer wear due to time and friction with other materials. At Oniri we want you to wear your jewellery as long as possible in a good condition. That is the reason why we provide you these precious tips to protect and clean your jewellery.

+ Precaution of use

Metals like silver or gold, and gemstones are sensible to abrasives and corrosives, this is the reason why we advise you to take your jewellery off in these cases :

-       When doing housework such as washing up or cleaning.

-       When doing manual tasks such as DIY or gardening.

-       When doing sports or an activity that results in significant sweating (like a hammam) or a risk of serious shock which could harm you and/or damage the jewellery.

We also do not recommend wearing jewellery while you sleep. You could hurt yourself and/or damage the jewellery.

You should avoid dropping your jewellery, pulling on fragile parts, attempting to tear it off somewhere, or trying to repair it yourself if it has been damaged.

In case of any problem it is best to contact us for a repair of a Oniri jewellery piece rather than another professional, these being made exclusively by us, we are best able to repair them. If, however, you wish to have your jewellery repaired by another craftsman please note it will not be under warranty anymore. For any additional information, please refer to our terms and conditions.

We recommend that you store your jewellery in their original box and in a dry and ventilated place. Avoid any damp place which would favour an oxidation, like your bathroom.

+ Maintenance

If your jewellery is dirty, gently wash it in warm water with dishwashing soap and a soft toothbrush. Let it dry after rinsing it.

You can also rub it with a microfiber cloth, or one specifically made to polish jewellery. Avoid any other type of fabric, they can be too aggressive. Never cover or try to clean your jewellery with a paper tissue, as they are partly made of abrasive materials.

For more maintenance, a professional cleaning or a replating to restore the radiance of your jewellery, you can contact us and we will send you a quote and the procedure to follow.
